Florence P. Horn, 85, of Pulaski, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bloomfield United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with family present from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Memorials have been established to Bloomfield United Methodist Church and Hospice, Inc.

Mrs. Horn was born July 9, 1919, in Libertyville, the daughter of Charles Edward and Pearl McClain Pearson. She married Arlie Horn March 11, 1940, in Burlington. He died June 1, 1988.

She had been a resident of Davis County since 1940 and was a homemaker. She also taught in rural Jefferson County schools.

Mrs. Horn was an active member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Church Women United, Tri-R Club in Pulaski, Seneca Advisory Council, Davis County Hospital Auxiliary and Pulaski Senior Citizens.

Survivors include one son, Gary Horn of Pulaski; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie Davisson of Indianola, Gladys Bachmann of West Des Moines and Beulah Herriott of Des Moines; and one brother, Glenn Pearson of Libertyville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cheryl Bollman; one son, Rex Dean Horn; two brothers, Rodney and Leslie Pearson; and two sisters, Grace Fraizer and Katharyn Parks.
