Peggy Ilene Lane, 67, of 1905 1/2 W. Burlington Ave., Lot 3, died at 11:17 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at her home.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral.

Family visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lane was born Jan. 5, 1938 in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Clarence and Madeline Pauline Shanstrom Thomas Lane. She married Harold Lane Sept. 23, 1958. They later divorced.

Mrs. Lane lived most of her life in Fairfield. She was employed at Fairfield Glove Co., was the assistant manager of Pizza Hut for 16 years and worked in the meat department in Hy-Vee Food Store for eight years.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Jaquez and husband Orlando of Fairfield and Karina Good of Fairfield; one son, Michael Lane, of North Manchester, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Thomas of Fairfield, Ronald Thomas of Webster City, Texas, Jim Lane of Fairfield and Dan Lane of Pleasant Plain; four sisters, Karen Gordon of Washington, Iowa, Patty Lathrop of Fairfield, Kathy Klett of Fairfield and Connie Gardner of Wales, Wisc.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Marie Owens.
