Patricia Kay TeBOCKHORST, 67, of Fairfield, IA passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at her home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with Father Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield immediately following the service. Visitation, with the family present, will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorial contributions in Pat's honor may be made to the Lord's Cupboard of Jefferson County or the St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. Patricia Kay TeBOCKHORST was born February 13, 1950 in Fairfield, IA to Firmin and Mary Etta "ROWLEY" TeBOCKHORST. She grew up in Fairfield where she attended school graduating with the Fairfield High School class of 1968. Upon graduation, she attended Central College in Pella, IA where she pursued her love of teaching. She graduated in 1972 and began her journey as an educator. Pat or "Miss T" to her students, taught 3rd grade for over 30 years in the Van Buren School District. She was an active member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and volunteered for many church luncheons and events. She also devoted time to helping the Lord's Cupboard of Jefferson County and the Sondheim Center. When she wasn't busy helping someone else, she would spend time tending to her garden. Pat impacted many lives throughout her career as a teacher, volunteer, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Firmin and Mary Etta TeBOCKHORST and a great niece, Idania FULLER.
Left to share her story is her sister, Pamela (Ron) FULLER of Branson West, MO; her niece and nephew, Traci (Steve) CLARY and Todd (Deanna) FULLER; three great nieces, one great nephew, eleven great great nieces and nephews, many friends, and her dear furry friend, Rosie.
