Doug L SQUIRE

Niwot, CO

Doug L SQUIRE, 46, of Niwot, died August 3, 2017 at his home after 4½ years of exhausting all treatment options to treat colon cancer. He was born July 20, 1971 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Connie (TRUBY) and Lyle SQUIRE. Doug graduated from Davenport West High School in 1989 and from the University of Iowa in 1994. On August 5, 1995, he married Heather NICOLA in Fairfield, Iowa. Doug went on to graduate from the University of Iowa Dental School in 2000 with honors.

Doug served his residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, 2000-2004. The moved to Niwot, CO in 2004 and started his oral surgery practice where he continued to see patients until June 2nd, 2017.

Doug siezed and cherished every moment and spent time doing things he enjoyed such as golfing, horse racing, and traveling with his family. He was a fan of Iowa Hawkeye football and had attended the Rose Bowl when the Hawleye's (sic) played and even got lucky at the Kentucky Derby. Doug adored his wife and daughter and will also be remembered for his love of good bourbon.

Surviving are his wife Heather and daughter Lauren of Niwot, CO; his mother Connie SQUIRE of Davenport, IA, his Mother-inLaw Connie WHITE of Erie, CO, his sister Laura DYBDAL and her husband Doug of Gilbert, AZ and their daughter Julia and her son Azrael; his brothers-in-law Jeremy NICOLA of Castle Rock, CO and his children Eireanna and McAhan and Todd WHITE and his wife Kim of Conroe, TX and their children Madison, Lyla, Coulter and Keira; and his sister-in-law Robin ODOM and her husband Willis of Colorado Springs, CO and their children Josh and Jade.

Preceding Doug in death are his father-in-law Tom WHITE in 2015 and his father Lyle SQUIRE in 2016.

Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.

At Doug's request, no formal services will be held.
