Clarence E. DICE, retired Jefferson county farmer, died suddenly early this morning at his home at 106 S. Maple street. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson.
DICE had been a resident of Jefferson county for 32 years and made his home in Fairfield for the past six years. He was born Dec. 28, 1875 near Kahoka, Mo., the son of Marion and Elmire JUSTICE DICE. He was married to Marcia I. PRICKETT Jan. 25, 1905 near Kahoka.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Lester WILSON, Fairfield, and Mrs. James KELLER, Washington. Three grandchildren, one great grandson, one half-brother, W. H. EGBERT, Grand Junction, Colo., and the following half-sisters also survive: Mrs. Minnie TAYLOR, Wyconda, Mo.; Mrs. John RODGERS, Kahoka, Mo., and Mrs. Lillie OWEN, Williamstown, Mo.
DICE was a member of the Baptist church.
