Mary Lenore CONNELLY STANLEY

Mare Lenore CONNELLY STANLEY 83, formerly of Fairfield, Iowa peacefully passed away on May 18, 2017.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Friday, May 26, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Fairfield with Pastor John Kermott officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established and may be sent in care of The Bowlin Family, 34 Bluff Meadow Court St. Charles, Missouri 63303.

Mary was born December 31, 1933 in Jones County Iowa, the daughter of Amos Roll and Mildred Mira WELLS CONNELLY. She lived the early years of her youth in Jones County near Olin, Iowa. Her family moved to Brighton, Iowa where she began school and later to Pleasant Plain, Iowa where she graduated as Class Valedictorian from Pleasant Plain High School in 1952. Following high school she attended and graduated first in her class from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She met and married the love of her life Marvin L. STANLEY on February 22, 1957, at First Baptist Church in Fairfield, Iowa. Together they raised their children Bruce and Barbara. Mary worked over three decades in the Fairfield Community as a dedicated nurse. After retiring from the nursing profession, she was employed at McClellan's Custom Flooring and later as an assistant in the library at Fairfield Junior High School. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, an ever faithful community volunteer, caring neighbor and friend.

She will be missed by daughter, Barbara J. BOWLIN and husband Riley of St. Charles Missouri, grandsons Robby BOWLIN and Margot BAIR of Chicago, Illinois and Nicholas and Melissa BOWLIN, and great-granddaughter Adeline Elise of Suffolk, Virginia, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter Mary Beth, son Bruce, her parents, brothers Gerald A. and Rolland C. CONNELLY.
