David Allen MORAN

David Allen MORAN, 49, of Fairfield, died Friday, April 21, 2017.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with Allen Melcher officiating. Burial will be at Wright Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ryan Brewington Memorial Scholarship. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Cody MORAN, 2405 Salina Road, Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mr. MORAN was born July 13, 1967, to Dave MORAN and Jean HECKETHORN SPALLA.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1986. He was self-employed. He was a Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye football fan. He was an avid Trojan fan, who took pride in watching his son play sports.

His pastimes included spending time outside fishing, hunting and morel mushroom hunting.

Survivors include: son, Cody MORAN of North Liberty; mother and stepfather, Jean and John SPALLA of Fairfield; siblings, Corinna WALZ of Lockridge, Carla CRAWFORD of Birmingham, Tommy SPALLA of Lockridge, and Nikki RUDE of Fairfield; and special friend, Shelly Moore.

He was preceded in death by: father, Dave MORAN; and brother, Mike KLETT.
