Gladys M. BACHMANN, formerly of rural Milton, died at 6:35 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Gladys BACHMANN

Gladys M. BACHMANN, 99, formerly of rural Milton, died at 6:35 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery (note: in Davis Co., IA).

Visitation, with family present, will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials to Keosauqua United Methodist Church can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 766 34th Place, West Des Moines 50265.

Mrs. BACHMANN was born Aug. 15, 1917, in rural Libertyville to Charles and Pearl McCLAIN PEARSON. She married Oscar BACHMANN March 11, 1940, in Burlington. He died Aug. 11, 2004.

The couple farmed most of their lives in Van Buren County and moved to West Des Moines for health reasons in May 2004.

They were active in Grace United Methodist Church in Milton.

Mrs. BACHMANN was currently a member of Keosauqua United Methodist Church and had been a member of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include: son, Wendell BACHMANN (Emma Lou) of West Des Moines; daughter-in-law, Mary BACHMANN of Independence, Missouri; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: brothers, Glenn, Rodney and Leslie PEARSON; and sisters, Grace FRAZIER, Beulah HERRIOTT, Florence HORN, Nellie DAVISSON and Katharyn PARKS.
