Joyce Ann Larsen, 55, of Newton and formerly of Fairfield, died today, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Portsmouth.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Visitation will continue from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Larsen was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Nick and Alma Arkfeld Bruck. She married Jim Larsen.

Survivors include her husband; her father of Portsmouth; two sons, Corey Larsen and wife Jen of Newton and Brook Larsen and wife Jen of Davenport; one daughter, Lisa Martin and husband Jeff of Newton; five brothers, Nick Bruck of Bettendorf, Ron Bruck of Lincoln, Neb., Bob Bruck of Black Earth, Wis., Rick Bruck of Gretna, Neb., and Randy Bruck of Portsmouth; three sisters, Joan Ingram of Gretna, Neb., Jolene Roecker of Atlantic and Janet Guse of Omaha, Neb.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
