Henry Lee Kempf, 37, of Nelson Nursing Home, died at 1:48 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the nursing home.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.

Mr. Kempf was born June 27, 1967, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Ralph Alvin and Vivian Cudworth Kempf.

He was reared in Keokuk, Van Buren and Jefferson counties. He was employed by George's Pizza and Steakhouse in Keosauqua, Stever House in Fairfield and Hawkeye Pizza and Steak House in Mount Pleasant.

He enjoyed talking to family and friends.

Survivors include his mother of Fairfield; his stepmother, Erma Kempf of Delta; five brothers, Ralph Kempf of Fort Madison, Paul Kempf of Hillsboro, Donald Kempf of Hedrick, Chester Kempf of Springfield, S.D., and Gary Kempf of What Cheer; and three sisters, Carolyn Sanderson of Libertyville, Wilda Prevett of Stockport and Gloria Conyers of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his father.
