Benna G. COOP, 86, of Johnston died Monday, March 3, 2017, at her home.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Jeff Coop officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery, north of Fairfield.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. COOP was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Hillsboro, to Harve N. and Mary Beatrice DODDS BOLEY. She married Bernard Raymond COOP Sept. 2, 1951, in Hillsboro. He died March 22, 2016.
Mrs. COOP grew up in Hilsboro and lived most of her life in Jefferson County, moving to Johnston in 2005.
She graduated from Fairfield High School and received her nurse's degree in Burlington.
She worked as a registered nurse at Jefferson County Hospital and Fairfield Clinic, both in Fairfield.
Survivors include: daughters, Kristin (Alex) GONZALEZ of Des Moines, Kim (Mark) WALIGORA of New Virginia, Becky (Steve) McINTIRE of Grimes, Sheri COOP of Johnston, Brenda (Jerry) PAULSEN of Houston, Texas; son, Jeff (Linda) COOP of Urbandale; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Dale BOLEY and Bob BOLEY; and one grandson.
