October 30, 1964:Mrs. Noble FORBES
FAIRFIELD.–Mrs. Noble FORBES, 43, of the Ranch Trailer Court, died Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been ill since Aug. 8.
The former Willa Mae TAYLOR was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Fairfield, daughter of James and Rhonda CHAPLIN TAYLOR. She was reared in Arkansas, Mississippi and Fairfield. She was married Feb. 27, 1943, at Lancaster, Mo. to Noble L. FORBES.
She was formerly employed at the Universal Producing Co., where her husband is employed.
Surviving besides the widower are two stepchildren, Charles L. FORBES of Rockford and Mrs. Kenneth O’DONNELL of Rolfe; seven step-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Eli KINZER of Champaign, Ill., and two brothers, DeMar TAYLOR of East Moline, Ill. and Howard TAYLOR of Guntersville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ray.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home, with Edward Esler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in charge. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).
