Charles "Chuck" Eugene WOODS, 72, of rural Hillsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at his home.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery (note: in Henry Co., IA).
Visitation will begin after noon Wednesday, with family present 5-7 p.m. at the memorial chapel.

Mr. WOODS was born Feb. 5, 1944, in Trenton, the son of Max Eugene and Ruby Leone PARKER WOODS. He married Carolyn Sue BLYTHE Aug. 17, 1964, in New London.
He attended Trenton School through the eighth grade.
He had farmed, worked at Burlington Northern Railroad, the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Mt. Pleasant Utilities water department, Vega Industries, and Buff's Truck Stop.
His pastimes included woodworking, making jewelry and various crafts. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife of Motrose; two daughters, Tammy Sue CORBISIER and husband Randy of Mt. Pleasant, Peggy YARBER and husband David of Hillsboro; seven-grandchildren (sic); 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim WOODS of Houghton; and one sister, Regina ACKLES of Mt. Pleasant.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Teresa Ann COLEMAN; and siblings, Willa CHURCH, Mary BLYTHE, Othal WOODS, Ethal WOODS, and Shirley STEVENS.
