E. Jane ESSARY ROWE, 71, of Birmingham,, (sic) died today, Jan. 20, 2017, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
The body has been cremated. A celebration of life service will be at a later date.
A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Roger HENDRICKS, PO Box 78, Birmingham 52535.
Ms. ROWE was born Feb. 27, 1945, in Iowa City, the daughter of to (sic) Albert and Anna Marie FRIDLEY ESSARY.
She graduated from Cardinal High School.
She was a correctional officer in Arizona.
Some of her pastimes included watching western shows on TV, collecting frogs and drinking Barq's root beer. She loved her pomeranian, Duke.
Survivors include: three sons, Roger HENDRICKS with Michele of Birmingham, Victor SANDERS with Susan of Albia, Albert "Pete" SANDERS with Martha of Oskaloosa; many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Rachel WEHR of Yuma, Arizona, Alberta CUBBAGE of Douds, Peggy METCALF-CONTE of Douds, Nancy CLOKE of Burlington, Barbara NEILL of Ottumwa, and Albert ESSARY of Malvern, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, George HENDRICKS; and one sister, Donna VERPLOEGH.
