Sarah L. BROMBAUGH, 66, of rural Stockport, died at 2:53 p.m. Monday, Jan, 9, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Sarah L. BROMBAUGH

Sarah L. BROMBAUGH, 66, of rural Stockport died at 2:53 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Mark Caston officiating. Cremation will follow the service, with burial of cremains at a later date in Vale Cemetery north of Bonaparte (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation with family will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Keokuk Humane Society, Vale Cemetery, Harrisburg Baptist Church or Van Buren County Hospital Auxiliary can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 16421 Teal Ave., Stockport 52651.

Mrs. BROMBAUGH was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama, to Daniel E. Bessie M. CAYTON. She was adopted when she was 4 years old by Stoke and Marie DOMENGEAUX. She married Richard BROMBAUGH Aug. 15, 1970, in the Navel Chapel (sic) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mrs. BROMBAUGH grew up in Mobile, graduated from Baker High School and attended Indian Hills Community College.

After her husband was discharged from the Navy, they moved to a farm in rural Stockport, where they worked side-by-side.

Mrs. BROMBAUGH was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church, north of Bonaparte. She was an original member of the Stockport Card Club, had worked at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua and the clinics in both Keosauqua and Bonaparte and had volunteered with the Van Buren County Hospital Auxiliary.

Her pastimes quilting, gardening, camping and boating, and traveling to southern Florida to visit family and Mobile to visit childhood friends and family (sic).

Survivors include: her husband, Richard; one daughter, Marie BROMBAUGH of Des Moines, and one son, Brian BROMBAUGH of Clive; three brothers, Charles CAYTON of Chickasaw, Alabama, Earl CAYTON of Orlando, Florida, Leo "Chip" REED of Mobile; and one sister, Donna SMITH of Semmes, Alabama; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: all of her parents; and two sisters, LoAnna HARRISON and Lillian CAYTON.
