Genevie HARTMAN

Genevie HARTMAN, 85, of Fairfield, formerly of West Burlington, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

No formal funeral is planned. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel in Burlington.

Born Aug. 19, 1931, in Livonia, Missouri, she was the daughter of Willard A. and Helen HINERMAN NAPPLE. In 1955, she married Walter William REGNIER Sr. in Alliance, Nebraska. They later divorced. On Sept. 7, 1973, she married Gerald HARTMAN in Albia. He died Oct. 27, 2007.

Mrs. HARTMAN worked in administration for Universal for 38 years; she retired in 1990.

Survivors include: one grandson, Will REGNIER of Fairfield; one daughter-in-law, Desiree REGNIER of Fairfield; stepsons, Ronald "Ron", Robert "Bob" and Larry of Kansas; stepdaughter, Carol of Kansas; and numerous stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; one son, Bill REGNIER Jr.; and one sister, Eileen THORNER.
