Emily Rowena Virginia YOUNT

Emily Rowena Virginia YOUNT, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Childress Cemetery in Childress, Texas with Chaplain Ronnie Shoffner, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A daughter of the late Virgil C. and Martha Lodema (ADCOCK) PENN, Emily was born on January 16, 1930 in Marysville, Texas. She married Mack Henry YOUNT on March 2, 1946. Emily was a homemaker, and had worked in the restaurant business throughout the years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and she loved to travel, fish and help other people.

She is preceded in death by her two sons, Johnny and Hobert YOUNT; her three grandsons, Clayton Henry NAIL, Steven YOUNT, and Matthew JAGER; two sisters, Barbara and Mildred; and three brothers, William, James, and Jesse.

She is survived by her five children, Dorothy STEVENS of Iowa, Rebecca FIELDS and husband Thomas JOHNSON, Martha CAIN and husband Leroy, Kenneth YOUNT all of Wichita Falls, and Flora NAIL of Childress; her brother-in-law, Joe YOUNT and wife Judy of California; thirty-three grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; one hundred and four great-great grandchildren and two on the way.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
