Mary Margaret NEWLON, 105, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mary Margaret NEWLON

Mary Margaret NEWLON, 105, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. John Kermott officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, one hour prior to the funeral service.

Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. NEWLON was born March 2, 1911, in Kirkwood, Illinois, the daughter of Fred Floyd and Edna Blanche STEVENSON RUSK. She married Willis D. NEWLON April 28, 1928, in Fairfield. He died Feb. 1, 1974.

She was a longtime resident of Fairfield.

She worked in housekeeping at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary FLEIG of Fairfield; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: one son, Robert Willis NEWLON; and three brothers, John, Dale and Fred RUSK.
