Lois M. NICHOLSON

Lois M. NICHOLSON, 76, of Birmingham, died at 3:55 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Lloyd Osborn and the Rev. Floyd Osborn officiating. Cremation will follow the service, with burial of cremains at a later date in Miller Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua.

Visitation, with family present, will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 223, Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. NICHOLSON was born June 20, 1940, in rural Wayne County, the daughter of Ernest and Mildred ROLLINS OSBORN. She married Bill NICHOLSON Nov. 27, 1964, in Memphis, Missouri.

Mrs. NICHOLSON graduated from Allerton High School in 1958 and had worked at Family Café, Fairfield Glove Factory and Turner Hotel, all in Fairfield.

Mrs. NICHOLSON was a member of the Birmingham Card Club, Fairfield Eagles Club, and was a 50-plus-year member of Red Hat Society. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and helping with the Birmingham Easter egg hunt.

She had attended Foursquare Gospel Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include: her husband; one daughter, Jeanie KISLING and husband Gerald of Birmingham; four grandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Kenny VAN AKEN and Sharon THOMAS, both of Ottumwa; and four brothers, Duain OSBORN of Brighton, Floyd OSBORN of Rock Falls, Illinois, Loyd OSBORN of Ottumwa and Delbert OSBORN of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by: one great-grandson; one sister, Phyllis SNOOK; and her parents.
