EDWIN HUFF PASSES AWAY

Edwin Scott HUFF, 71, passed away this morning at the Jefferson county hospital following a brief illness with a heavy cold resulting in pneumonia and complications. Mr. HUFF was the grandson of Jefferson county's first white settler, John HUFF, who came to this country in the fall of 1835.

Edwin HUFF was born in Jefferson county on August 16, 1873, the son of James and Susan HUFF. He had lived his entire life in this vicinity, and for the past 25 years had made his home with Ralph H. and Mary Stever, route 4, Fairfield. Mr. HUFF was never married.

Surviving are two brothers, Elmer HUFF, Poplar Bluffs, Mo., and John HUFF, Aberdeen, Washington.
