Mary HILLER

FAIRFIELD -- Mary McCALLISTER HILLER, 89, of Nelson Nursing Home died there at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 4, 1983.

She was born Sept. 13, 1894, in Howell County, Mo., to Andrew Jackson and Martha E. WILBANKS HINES. A former school teacher, she married Benjamin F. McCALLISTER on Aug. 5, 1917. He died May 18, 1936. She married the Rev. Clifton H. HILLER on Oct. 28, 1956. He died Dec. 31, 1961. the McCALLISTER family farmed many years in the Bethesda and Salina communities east of Fairfield. She was a member of the First Methodist Church at Des Moines.

She is survived by three daughters, Winifred HINING of Ames, Mary E. HAGEDORN of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Helen JOHNSON of Fairfield; three sons, Robert McCALLISTER of Boulevard, Calif., Richard McCALLISTER of Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, and William McCALLISTER of Omaha, Neb.; and 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home at Fairfield, the Rev. Paul Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery east of Fairfield.

Visitation will be form 7 to 8 p.m. today at Raymond Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Fairfield Public Library.
