EXLINE - Robert Lee BLOOMQUIST, 54, of 110 E. Main St., died at 7:15 p.m. August 23, 2016 at Hospice House in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).
He was born March 14, 1962 in Fairfield to Louie and Saundra BARTHOLOW BLOOMQUIST.
A 1980 graduate of Fairfield High School, Rob was the manager at Pizza Hut and was bakery manager at HyVee stores in Iowa and Nebraska. He had worked for Story Construction and Christianson Farms for 4 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour and was baptized in the First Christian Church in Fairfield.
Surviving is his father, Louie BLOOMQUIST of Fairfield; the long-time love of his life, Corinne SCHOOLCRAFT of Exline; two brothers, Terry (Ellen) BLOOMQUIST of Cedar Rapids and Randy (Theresa) BLOOMQUIST of Linwood, NE; a sister, Traci (Darryl) LOTT of Niota, IL; his children, Nicolas BLOOMQUIST of Cherry Point, NC, Justin (Ashley) SCHOOLCRAFT of Chariton and Alicia SCHOOLCRAFT of Mystic; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many friends and his beloved dog, Sissy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Saundra BLOOMQUIST; grandparents, George and Margaret BARTHOLOW, Bert and Laurel BLOOMQUIST; a great-niece, Clair Marie THIERNAN.
His body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Fairfield. The family will greet friends at the church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
