Beulah Beatrice Birchmier Cremer, 88, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at North Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Community Church, formerly known as Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Norman Channel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral Wednesday at the church.

Memorials can be made to New Life Community Church.

Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cremer was born May 22, 1916, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Charles and Grace McDowell Birchmier . She married Harry Cremer June 28, 1942, in Bloomfield. He died May 26, 1983.

She graduated from Troy Consolidated High School. She and her husband lived on farms near Bloomfield and Brighton until their retirement to Fairfield.

Mrs. Cremer was a member of New Life Community Church.

She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Survivors include one brother, Charles L. Birchmier of Marion.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Lorval Birchmier.
