Elizabeth Ann WEST

Elizabeth Ann WEST, age 78 of Fairfield died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Elizabeth was born August 25, 1937 in Fairfield, the daughter of Ralph C. and Edith HENDRICKS SCHILLERSTROM. She graduated from Fairfield High School. She married Floyd WEST on September 17, 1954 at Pleasant Plain, Iowa.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

She was a personal care provider for older people in their home. She had worked at Universal Producing Company, and the Fairfield Glove Company. She and her husband were foster parents to several children through the years.

They had lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, Loveland and Boulder, Colorado, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert SCHILLERSTROM.

Surviving are her husband Floyd, 2 daughters: Kathy (Harold) CUBBAGE of Libertyville and Melanie (Mark) DILL of Dubuque; 5 grandchildren: Jason CUBBAGE, Amy SCOTTON, Joshua DILL, Gabriel DILL and Shelby DILL, 2 great grandchildren: Madison CUBBAGE and Katie Jo SCOTTON; one sister Mary (Oren) JARVIS of Washington, IA and one brother Roy SCHILLERSTROM, of Washington, Iowa. 3 step-sisters: Jeanie (Bob) MEINDER of Ottumwa, Jolene (Dennis) ELMORE of Lantana, Texas and Joni (Joel) ROLLINGER of Decorah, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Foster Care Program.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
