Gladys S. WANEK

Gladys S. WANEK, 84, of Coralville, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Lantern Nursing & Rehab Center in Coralville.

A graveside service will be held in September at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Instead of flowers, memorials can be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.

Miss WANEK was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Johnson County, the daughter of George and Mary SCHUCHERT WANEK.

She worked at Oral B Labs in Iowa City for 34 years before retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

She enjoyed birdwatching and rock collecting. She was a member of the Sac & Fox Lapidary Club in Fairfield.

Survivors include: her brother, Warren WANEK of West Branch.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and an infant sister, Olga.
