Death Comes To Mrs. MULKINS, 90

Mrs. Linorah Belle MULKINS, longtime resident of Fairfield, passed away at 6:40 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday morning. She had been in failing health the past two years and was a patient at the Crawford nursing home until she entered the hospital.

Last rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in the Switzer family cemetery northeast of Fairfield.

Linorah Belle MULKINS, 90, was born Aug. 2, 1865, at Salem, Iowa, the daughter of the late John P. and Martha Joy EDWARDS. She was reared and educated at Salem, and was a member of the Christian church.

On Dec. 11, 1888, she was united in marriage to Frank SWITZER and the family moved to a farm northeast of Fairfield. They were the parents of three children: Clarence D. SWITZER, and Mrs. Martha Norene STAVES, both of Fairfield; and a son, Alonzo, who passed away Dec. 25, 1935.

Her husband passed away Nov. 29, 1899, and on Dec. 4, 1903, she was married to James E. (a/k/a Jesse) MULKINS. They were the parents of a son, Linley Edwin MULKINS. Her second husband passed away Oct. 24, 1907 (sic - Oct. 20, 1907).

In addition to the survivors listed above, Mrs. MULKINS is survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl ALMOND, Salem. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
