A. SCHROLL, 74, DIED TODAY
Funeral services for Lockridge man to be held Thursday

August SCHROLL, 74, native of Germany, passed away this morning about 11 o'clock at the Jefferson County Hospital, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held from the St. John Lutheran church at Four Corners, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Alton Hoch of Mt. Pleasant will be in charge. The body was taken to the Weston Behner Funeral Home, where it will remain until time for the services.

Mr. SCHROLL came to the United States when he was four years of age, and has made his home near Lockridge since 1908. He was the son of Martin and Justina SCHROLL and was born in Germany on November 2, 1866. He was united in marriage with Caroline LUEDTKE, who preceded him in death. Mr. SCHROLL was a retired farmer and a member of the St. John Lutheran church.

He is survived by a step-son, E. T. LUEDTKE of Lockridge; two sisters, Mrs. Emil LUEDTKE of Chatham, Ill. and Mrs. John SCHROLL of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, William SCHROLL and George SCHROLL.
