MARY J. DROZ

Mary J. DROZ, daughter of George and Janet DROZ, was born June 12, 1851, in St. Louis, Mo., and passed away at the home of her daughter, Malinda KELLER in Fairfield, July 25, having attained the age of 82 years. She came to this country with her parents when a small child, settling on a farm southeast of Fairfield, where she grew to young womanhood.

She was united in marriage to Edward KELLER, March 3, 1873 and to this happy union were born seven children. Her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Ida REED, have preceded her in death. The following children survive her: Mrs. Mary HUDGEL of Burlington, Ia; Mrs. Clemmie HUDGEL of Minneapolis, Minn.; Sylvester, of Lockridge; Jesse and Fred of Fairfield, and Malinda with whom she has made her home for the past several years. There are also 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held Friday morning from St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. E. F. Gaule. The casket attendants were six grandsons, Harry and Fred HUDGEL, Lawrence and Verne KELLER, George and Clarence KELLER.

She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Pattison cemetery, southeast of Fairfield.
