Rites Monday For James CARMICHAEL

James CARMICHAEL, lifelong resident of Jefferson county, died suddenly this morning at the home of his nephew, Ralph C. CARMICHAEL, who resides seven miles northeast of Fairfield.

Last rites will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. J. Henry Teele in charge.

He was born December 1, 1872, in Jefferson county, son of William and Mary ALEXANDER CARMICHAEL. He lived his entire life in this county.

He was a member of the Eagles lodge (sic - Eagles Club/Aerie), and was the last of a family of seven. Only nieces and nephews survive.

Note: Burial was believed to be in Pattison Cemetery, where his parents are buried; a metal funeral home marker for James was found at the base of their monument. James was married to and divorced from Zella JOHNSON, who died in 1947 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.
