Ronald L. SCHNECKLOTH

Ronald L. SCHNECKLOTH, 79, of Davenport, died Monday, June 20, 2016.

A funeral will be at noon Friday in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Cemetery (note: in Scott Co., IA).

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Mr. SCHNECKLOTH was born in Davenport, a son of Gustav and Frances SCHNECKLOTH. He married Barbara NIXON in 2006.

He retired as a supervisor in 1992 after more than 30 years of service with Oscar Mayer.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His hobbies included playing cards and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. He enjoyed his weekly breakfasts with fellow Oscar Mayer retirees.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara; seven children, Michael and wife Dawn, Ricky, Jeffrey and wife Kathy, Lori DIXON, Terri BAUSTIAN and husband Dan, Sheri GUILLET and husband Barry, and Pamela BRADSHAW; two stepchildren, David NIXON and wife Cathy, and Deanna SHIELDS; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim; and one sister, Joann SORENSEN.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Marlene; his parents; and one brother, Julian BREHMER.
