BATAVIA - Mrs. Lewis HENDERSON, 78, rural route 2, Batavia, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield with the Rev. Robert E. Palmer officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Iva Olive DeMACK was born June 12, 1895, at Brookville, Mo., the daughter of John and Kate SAMMONS DeMACK. She was reared and educated in Bloomfield and Davis County.
Her marriage to Lewis S. HENDERSON took place Nov. 7, 1916, in Bloomfield. She had spent her entire life in Davis, Wapello and Jefferson Counties, and was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.
Mrs. HENDERSON is survived by her husband who is a patient at Jefferson Square Manor; three sons, Dean, Ottumwa; Dale, Fairfield and Guy, Council Bluffs; also two granddaughters and seven grandsons; and 18 great-grandchildren.
