Sandra Dee SPEES BUCH passed away at Jefferson County Hospital, June 18, 2016, after a year-long illness.
Sandra was born to Pauline and David SPEES, July 13, 1962. Sandra grew up attending Birmingham Elementary School and then graduated from Keosauqua High School in Keosauqua, Iowa. In high school, Sandra was active in the band, playing the clarinet, and she also sang in the choir.
Her special friends growing up were her grandmother Evelyn SPEES and Verna McKEHAN.
During her high school years, Sandra began working at the Co-Ed Theater and continued working there until she began working at Copperfield Chimney, where she worked to the present time. She recently was presented a plaque for her twenty-five years of service there.
Sandra enjoyed gardening and fine needle work.
Sandra married Michael Keith BUCH on February 26, 1982 at St. Mary's Church in Fairfield, Iowa.
Sandra is survived by her husband Mike and son Corey (Megan) BUCH and one grandson, Case Lee BUCH of Fairfield. She is also survived by her mother, Pauline SPEES, brother Seven (Sandy) SPEES, from Birmingham area, one sister Devin SCRANTON of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, David SPEES of Birmingham. Also her grandparents, E.J. and Verna McKEEHAN and Conyer and Evelyn SPEES, all of Birmingham.
Memorials may be made to the family, with a memorial being established later. Mail to 1600 171st Blvd, Fairfield, Iowa or left at the Celebration of Life, which will be held at the Eagles Club on South Main St. of Fairfield, Wednesday evening 5 to 8 p.m., with dinner being served by their friends.

Sandra Dee SPEES BUCH died Saturday, June 19, 2016, at Jefferson County Hospital after a year-long illness.
The obituary printed in Monday's edition of The Fairfield Ledger should have stated Mrs. BUCH was recently presented a plaque for her 22 years of service at Copperfield Chimney; survivors include her brother Steve SPEES of the Birmingham area; and that memorials can be mailed to 1601 171st Blvd., Fairfield 52556 or left at the celebration of life from 5-8 p.m. today at the Fairfield Eagles Club, with dinner being served by their friends.
