Betty Sharon BOYER

Betty Sharon BOYER, 73, of Douds, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her home, with her husband by her side.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon (note: in Wapello Co.,IA). Burial will be at Kilbourne Cemetery in Van Buren County immediately following the service.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service time Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Living Hope Bible Church or Bethel Worship Center. An online guestbook is available at www.kremerfh.com.

Betty Sharon BOYER

Betty Sharon BOYER, 73, of Douds, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her home, with her husband by her side.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. today at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon. Burial was in Kilborne (sic) Cemetery in Van Buren County.

Mrs. BOYER was born March 26, 1943, in Kilbourn, the only child of Hubert and Neala CARRUTHERS GILBERT. She married Jerry BOYER Nov. 4, 1961, in Fairfield.

Her early years were spent on the family farm, where she developed a connection and love for the farmstead that would last throughout her life.

She attended school in Keosauqua, graduating with the class of 1961.

Mrs. BOYER work (sic) as a housekeeper at the Ottumwa Hospital for several years before her retirement in 1997.

She enjoyed being a devoted wife and mother. She cherished the family farm and enjoyed taking rides on her John Deere Gator around the property. She loved to shop.

She was a member of the Living Hope Bible Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Jerry BOYER.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one son, Jeffrey BOYER.
