Louise K. FARIS

Louise K. FARIS, 87, of Davenport, passed away April 12, 2016, in Davenport (note: in Scott Co., IA). Following cremation, graveside services will be held June 11, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton (note: in Washington Co., IA).

Mrs. FARIS was born Aug. 20, 1928, in rural Lockridge, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Gladys STONE. She attended college in Davenport. On April 9, 1967, she married Billie FARRIS in Fairfield, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1989.

From 1948-1959, Louise was employed by the Davenport Airport. From 1959-1961, she work (sic) at Midwest Timmerman in Davenport. From 1961 until her retirement in 1995, she was employed in the purchasing dept. of the City of Davenport.

Her hobbies included cooking, enjoying big band music and watching or listening to football with her father or brother.

Survivors include her son, Lewis; sister in-laws (sic) Lola NELSON (Keith) and Marilyn STONE; nieces and nephews, Connie, Alvin, Jim, Lucinda, and Anne.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother G.B. STONE, and a brother in law Ben FARIS, and a niece Phyllis.
