Michael G. DAVIS

"I didn't forget, Mikey.
A deal's a deal.
You wanted to do it your way,
change the world, and have a ball.
And you have."
THE UNIVERSE

Michael G. DAVIS pedaled away onto his next adventure May 31, 2016 at his home in Longmont, CO.

He was born November 24, 1952, in Davenport, IA the fourth child of five born to Fay and Grier DAVIS. Though born a Midwesterner he lived many places and changed the world wherever he went. Mike was a leader in Habitat for Humanity traveling to Lesotho, Guatemala as well as building sites in the US.

Mike knew life because he loved many things. Art was his passion and he shared it freely, inspiring other (sic). If it was colorful and quirky he gravitated to it. And if it was plain, he adorned it and made it unique. He saw possibilities in everything and everyone.

His convictions, both political and moral, were reflected in his art, his speech and his actions. He spoke with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy. He was a true gentleman.

Mike was loved and will be missed by his many circles of friends but mostly by his two sons, Aaron and Elijah, his former wife and friend, Teri, and his siblings Donna, Marilyn, John, Ken, Vicki and Rick. His 14 nieces and nephews will sorely miss his many pranks.

May his Ride the Rockies team feel a breeze at their backs, and may his Habitat friends swing their hammers true.

Mike's not out of our minds, just out of our sight. He will wait for us for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

In keeping with his generous spirit, Mike asks that donations to Habitat for Humanity be made in lieu of flowers.

A memorial is planned for July 9 from 10-2 at Foothills Community Park in Boulder, Colorado. Ride On!
