Wilma Stanley, 81, of Hillsboro, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Hillsboro Christian Church, with the Rev. David Callen officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Hillsboro Cenetery Association or Hillsboro Christian Church.

Mrs. Stanley was born Nov. 30, 1922, in rural Jefferson County, the daughter of Andrew and Elnora Thomson Daub. She married Charles Junior Stanley Feb. 14, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Feb. 16, 1995.

Mrs. Stanley graduated from Fairfield High School in 1940. She had lived 51 years in the Hillsboro community. She was a homemaker and school cook for 15 years in Hillsboro, in the Harmony school system.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star No. 515 Hillsboro and Stockport Chapter, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Alpha Club and past member of the Hillsboro Cemetery Board, all in Hillsboro.

Survivors include three daughters and one son, Edythe Frantz and husband Larry of Iowa City, Marlene Wilson and husband Joe of Moberly, Mo., Roberta Shimon of Moberly, Mo., and Dwight Stanley and wife Karen of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two sisters and two brothers, Louise Dubois of Winfield, Erma Stansberry of Birmingham, Leland Andrew Daub of Oregon and Robert Daub of Marshalltown.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys Bloomquist and Edna Searle; one brother, Raymond Daub; and one great-grandchild.
