Juanita M. ALEXANDER, 105, of Keosauqua, died at 1:50 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at Keosauqua Health Care Center (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril (note: also in Van Buren Co., IA).
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with family present 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials to Care Initiatives Hospice or Maple Grove Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 18069 Highway 1, Keosauqua 52565.
Mrs. ALEXANDER was born March 28, 1911, in Fulton County, Illinois, the daughter of Wallace and Ruby LIVESAY SEBREE. She married George Wiley ALEXANDER Aug. 30, 1933, at Onieda, Illinois. He died March 23, 1989.
She and her husband farmed for a time in Illinois. but most of their active life they farmed in Van Buren County (sic).
Prior to entering Keosauqua Health Care Center in November 2015, Mrs. ALEXANDER had lived at Village Terrace Assisted Living in Keosauqua.
She had been a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had attended Keosauqua United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, David ALEXANDER and wife Marilyn of Keosauqua; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Guelda Cronk of Keosauqua.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Clifton SEBREE.
