Eunice Geraldine JONES

Eunice Geraldine JONES, 77, of Rubio, died at her home Sunday, May 1, 2016; she had been in failing health.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the Rev. Carl Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Tuesday immediately preceding the service at the funeral home.

A general memorial has been established and can be left at the funeral home or mailed to Mike Davis at 102 Prost Ave., Richland 52585.

Mrs. JONES was born Sept. 17, 1938, the daughter of Jerry and Manie ELDRIDGE CLARK. She married Joseph M. JONES June 5, 1958, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died July 9, 2003.

Mrs. JONES grew up in the Richland and Brighton area, attended Clay Country School and graduated from Brighton High School.

She was a housewife, worked at Advance Ross in Fairfield and at McCleery Cummings in Washington for 30 years until retiring in 1998. Earlier, she worked as a baby sitter and waitress.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, trapping, hunting and crocheting.

Survivors include: one brother, Merle CLARK; and three sisters, Mable GOETTSCHE, Wilma ESSARY and Betty CLARK; and special friend, Hubert Hamilton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; and one sister, Mildred BEKEL.
