Beulah Eldora SHILLING, 93, of Fairfield, died today, Thursday, April 7, 2016, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Beulah Eldora SHILLING, 93, of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hillsboro Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials can be made to Hillsboro Cemetery. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Mary FAUGHT, 14714 Washington St., Douds 52551. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. SHILLING was born March 31, 1923, in Douds, the daughter of Ray and Linnet SLUTTS BARNETT. She married Lawrence Eugene SHILLING Oct. 17, 1942, in Kahoka, Missouri. He died Sept. 10, 2004.

She attended Hillsboro School.

Mrs. SHILLING lived in Fairfield since 1948 and resided at SunnyBrook Living Care Center since June.

She was empolyed by The Dexter Company for two years, Universal Producing for several years and had her own bait and tackle shop for 15 years.

Mrs. SHILLING loved animals, especially dogs and her bird "Pretty Boy," that is 26 years old.

Survivors include: three sisters, Anna Margaret WORKMAN of Fairfield, Mary FAUGHT of Douds and Charlotte WALLERICH of Danville.

In addition to her husband, Lawrence SHILLING, she was preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Lex, Rex, Robert and Jim BARNETT; three sisters, Marie ELLIS, Georgia ELLIS and Leona SANDERSON.
