Janan Elizabeth NIXON

Janan Elizabeth NIXON, 94, of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Brian Gentz officiating.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. NIXON was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Davenport, the daugher (sic) of George and Gladys NORRIS SCHROEDER. She married Ralph D. NIXON in October 1939 in Fairfield. He died March 19, 1975.

She was a graduate of Fairfield High School.

Mrs. NIXON worked at Tribune Printing Company in Fairfield for several years.

She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include: one son, Craig and wife Barbera of Lexington Park, Maryland; one daughter-in-law, Cindy of Davenport; three grandsons; and two sisters, Jean SIX of Fairfield and Pat DESPAIN of Ottawa, Illinois.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: one son, Bruce NIXON.
