Ivan Erleu CLINE Sr.

Ivan Erleu CLINE Sr., 88, of Lockridge, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary and the Rev. Kevin Dice officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society. Cards and memorials can be sent to 1990 Vetch Blvd., Lockridge 52635. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mr. CLINE was born May 4, 1927, in Fairfield, the son of William Clearance and Ora May NELSON CLINE. He married Laura Francis WILLIAMS Dec. 7, 1946.

While farming, Mr. CLINE held different positions at Iowa Malleable, The Dexter Company, Sixs Aluminum, Fairfield Engineering, and Rockwell International.

His hobbies and interests included raising cattle, fishing, traveling and camping, and going to tractor pulls.

Survivors include: his wife, Laura of Lockridge; six children, Ivan CLINE Jr. and Fon of Fairfield, William "Bill" CLINE and Louise of Fairfield, Marvin CLINE and Carlyn of Lockridge, Duane CLINE and Phyllis of Birmingham, Michael CLINE and Theresa of Agency, and Carlos CLINE and Nancy of Jesup; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; twin sons, Dale Eugene and Darrell Erleu CLINE; two brothers, Oren and Forest CLINE; and two sisters, Lorene CLINE and Olivia COIL.
