Shirley M. Coe, 69, of Montezuma died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Nick Longworth officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coe was born Oct. 10, 1934, in New Sharon, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen Brackney Simmons. She married Roy Dean Coe March 4, 1951, in New Sharon.

She was employed by Rockwell-Collins for 25 years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Randy Coe of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; five sisters, Vivian Plate of Grinnell, Pat Mitchell of Melrose, Ann Davis of New Sharon, Marge Maudlin of Fairfield and Judy Bushong of Montezuma; and one brother, Bob Simmons of Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Teddi Coe; and one grandson.
