Jessie B. McIntyre, 92, of 208 S. Court St., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jan Burns-Hintze officiating. The body was cremated. Burial of cremains will be in Swan Cemetery in Swan.

Memorials can be made to Fairfield Park and Recreation Department Roosevelt Aquatic Center.

Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McIntyre was born April 1, 1912, in Cambridge, the daughter of John and Minnie Adkins Elliott. She married Donald McIntyre April 1, 1940, in Boone. He died Aug. 24, 1991.

She grew up in Carlisle and lived in the Runnells and Hartford communities before moving to Fairfield in 1975. She was a supervisor for Look magazine for several years in addition to being a homemaker.

Mrs. McIntyre was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two children, Charles McIntyre and wife Nyla of Brandon, S.D., and Martha Handy and husband Charles of Birmingham; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, William Tip Elliott of Mayer, Ariz.; and one sister, Mary Hedlund of Modesto, Calif.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margaret Greene and Ethyl Saemisch; and two brothers, Thomas Elliott and Virgil Elliott.
