L. F. CARLSON RITES MONDAY

Last rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home for Leonard Frederick CARLSON, 69, resident of Lockridge. Rev. Engstrom and Rev. Green, both of Lockridge, were in charge and burial was in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Mr. CARLSON passed away Saturday at 1:30 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had been in failing health three years and seriously ill the past seven weeks.

He was born June 24, 1877, at Lockridge, the son of the late Adam and Susan ANDERSON CARLSON. He lived his entire life in that community except 13 years when he lived near Libertyville. He was a life-time resident of Jefferson county.

Mr. CARLSON is survived by his wife and two daughters. Mrs. C. L. BUTLER, Atlantic, Iowa; and Mrs. Joe TOBIN, Ainsworth; and three grandchildren, Mary Jo and Pat TOBIN, and Iona Leann BUTLER.

Note: Buried in Lot Memorial 65 - space 5; wife Etta (DUTTWEILER) died in 1959 and is buried beside him in space 6.
