DIED SUDDENLY ON HIS VACATION
J. W. BROWN Left Here Yesterday on a Trip and Was Found Dead Early Today

J. W. BROWN, 700 West Stone street, who left this city yesterday noon in company with his wife and granddaughter, on a two weeks' vacation trip to Clear Lake and other northern points, was found dead in bed early this morning at Colo where they stayed all night.

His son-in-law, Norval G. MITCHELL and B. F. Donohoe left this morning and had brought the body back to the Hoskins funeral home, where it will await funeral arrangements.

Mr. BROWN had been in his usual health when he started on this trip with his wife and granddaughter Pauline EDWARDS, although he has been in failing health for the past three or four years and has had in times past three quite severe heart attacks. His death was probably caused from a similar attack.

Mr. BROWN was 60 years old last March 15 and was born near Lockridge, the son of Mr. and Mrs Mathew BROWN. Practically all of his life has been spent in Jefferson county. For a number of years he has been employed at the Malleable Iron Works. His wife was formerly Miss Carrie RIZOR and she survives with three children.

A son, Lazelle BROWN and his wife were killed Dec. 17, 1925, at Kellogg when his car was struck by a train. Their little daughter, Myrna BROWN, has made her home with her grandparents since the death of her parents. The children surviving are: Mrs. Marian EDWARDS and Mrs. Norval G. MITCHELL of this city and Mrs. Harrie RODGERS of Cotter, who is spending some time with her husband at Greeley, Colo. Besides Myrna BROWN, and Pauline EDWARDS three other grandchildren survive: Maxine and Frances EDWARDS and Dorothy MITCHELL. He leaves a brother and sister Hugh BROWN of Douglas, Wyo., and Mrs. Ella HERON of Gebo, Wyo.
