Gracie MILLS

Gracie L. WARNING MILLS, 87, of Salem died at 12:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at SunnyBrook Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA).

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril, with the Rev. Jared Haley officiating.

At Mrs. MILLS's request, the casket will remain closed, and there will be no visitation.

Memorials to Salem Friends Church in Salem can be brought to the cemetery or mailed to the family at PO Box 155, Salem 52649.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. MILLS was born July 31, 1928, in Farmington, the daughter of Selby and Florence KECK SPROUSE. She married Richard E. "Deacon" WARNING June 8, 1946, in Kahoka, Missouri. He died May 17, 2000. She married Harold MILLS Jan. 19, 2002, at Salem Friends Church.

She graduated from Cantril High School.

She and her first husband lived in several locations in Iowa and moved to Salem in 1973.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. MILLS attended Salem Friends Church for many years.

Survivors include: her husband Harold MILLS, of SunnyBrook Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to her first husband, Richard E. "Deacon" WARNING, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Clyde SPROUSE; and two sisters, Vera SCHEER and Carolyn BOLIN.
