Kathy COOPER

Kathy COOPER, 77, of Rose Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House.

As was her wish, the body has been cremated. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Jackson Cemetery, near Rose Hill.

Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. COOPER was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Davis County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Summers and Alice Maude PAXTON EDDY. She married Bill COOPER March 3, 1960.

Her early education was in Troy, and then she attended Packwood schools.

After her education, she began working as a waitress at local restaurants.

After their marriage, she and her husband moved to Rose Hill, and she began raising livestock. She loved her animals, especially raising her hogs and chickens.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include: her husband, Bill COOPER of Rose Hill; two sons, Kevin and John COOPER of Rose Hill; five grandchildren; and one brother Jack EDDY of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Kimberly Kay COOPER; and one brother, William "Bill" EDDY.
