Geraldine Ann DRUMMEY, 91, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Geraldine 'Jerry' Ann DRUMMEY

Geraldine "Jerry" Ann DRUMMEY, 91, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30-10:30 prior to the funeral Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Alicia TYGART, 1005 Grand Park Drive, Fairfield 52556. Online condolences to the family can be made at www.behnerfh.com .

Mrs. DRUMMEY was born July 9, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Walker McKinley and Lillian MILES PHILLIPS. She married Clifford DRUMMEY Dec. 5, 1943.

Mrs. DRUMMEY graduated from Mt. Mercy Girls Academy then attended Mount Mercy College for two years.

The DRUMMEYs lived in Cedar Rapids until moving to Fairfield in 1963. Mrs. DRUMMEY worked at Collins Radio during World War II while her husband was in the South Pacific.

She was a loving mother and homemaker. She sewed and designed things that made her home warm and inviting. She enjoyed knitting gifts for her family, crafting, jigsaw puzzles, and she was an avid bowler. She designed and dressed dolls for family and friends. She loved playing electric organ and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: one daughter, Alicia TYGART and husband Richard of Fairfield; one son, Douglas DRUMMEY and wife Haifa of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister; her husband; and one daughter, Kathleen PENROD.
