Jessie P. MORRIS, 93, of Keosauqua, died at 10:03 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at John Knox village in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.
Memorials to the Salvation Army can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 511 NW Carroll Drive, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.
Mrs. MORRIS was born July 25, 1922, the daughter of Henry Thomas and Elva COX BARTHOLOMEW. She married Dale T. WILEY Sept. 4, 1939. He died Dec. 21, 1974.
She lived in Van Buren County her entire life.
Mrs. MORRIS attended Cantril Christian Church.
She retired as a nurse tech from Van Buren County Hospital where she worked for 30 years.
Mrs. MORRIS was a Cub Scout leader for many years in Keosauqua and a Sunday school teacher at Keosauqua Christian Church.
Through her character and faith, Mrs. MORRIS gave unconditional love to her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include: her children, Alice MAIRET and husband Dannie, Robert WILEY and wife Chris, Tom WILEY and wife Patti, all of Lee's Summit; four stepchildren, Keith MORRIS and Juanita KINGSBURY and husband Gary, both of Keosauqua, Lloyd BARROW of Columbia, Missouri, and Bill BARROW and wife Lavon of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by: her second husband, Robert BARROW on Sept. 28, 1996, and her third husband, Darrell MORRIS on Jan. 24, 2015; eight sisters; and one brother.
