Josephine Steckel Cameron Burdash
September 16, 2004

Josephine Steckel Cameron Burdash, 46, of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 5, 2004, after a short battle with cancer.

Funeral services were held in Burnsville; and burial was in Bloomfield, Iowa, where she rests near the maternal grandmother for whom she was named.

Josie was born January 31, 1958, the daughter of Gary Lee and Nan Druet Burchette Cameron. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1976 and attended the University of Iowa for one year. During her high school senior year, she served as a page in the Iowa Legislature. She married Emmet Charles Burdash November 16, 1977, in San Jose, CA.

Josie was fond of good food and wine and loved to entertain. She was an excellent, adventuresome cook. She loved gardening, music, theater and, most of all, her family and a succession of kitty cats.

She had a sweet, caring personality which made her loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband and daughters Rebecca Druet and Ashley Corrine, as well as her parents, her sister Druet Klugh and husband Tom, brother Streetar Cameron and wife Christine, nieces Emily and Elizabeth Cameron and sisters-in-law Bonnie Jellinek and husband Michael and Donna DeMike and husband Dennis.

Memorials would be appreciated to Methodist Hospital Hospice, 6500 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park, MN 55426 or Noahs Ark Animal Foundation, PO Box 748, Fairfield 52556 or something of the donors choice.
